Car service centres are renowned to be dirty environments. Being a customer-centric organisation, Foursons Mitsubishi standards need to be high throughout the premises – consisting of the garage area and the back offices - however due to the nature of the environment this is a very difficult problem to solve. Car service environments contain minute particles of grease, oil, and exhaust fumes which are prevalent even in the back office due to their airborne nature. In addition, some technicians are required to use computers whilst working on the vehicles, making it easy to transfer dirt onto office hardware. James Jones, Dealer Principal, noticed that the office keyboards had sticky keys from the deposited grease, and that telephones were off-colour and harbouring dirt in the crevices. Aware that this is a potential health hazard, James wanted to know if a specialised deep-clean of the office computers and back office workspace would be effective, practical and achievable. James contacted a commercial cleaning company, Keep I.T. Clean, who specialise in on-site deep-cleaning of office hardware such as computers and telephones. The company were able to return the hardware back to its original condition through intensive cleaning methods with minimal disruption to the business. Foursons Mitsubishi now state they have noticeably cleaner and measurably more hygienic workspaces for all office employees, proving even in environments of high airborne contamination the level of pollutants can be controlled.
