Keyboard and telephone cleaning service

Keep I.T. Clean is a specialised cleaning company with over a decade of experience exclusively cleaning and bacterially cleansing computers, keyboards, telephones and office hardware on-site.

Our long-term experienced technical cleaning staff work as a team and get to know our customers, and are capable of sanitising PC's and providing an intense professional bacterial clean to take on the modern day challenges of MRSA and pathogens in hospitals, schools, call centres and offices. With a computer keyboard harbouring more germs than a typical toilet seat, eliminating the bacteria in shared environments is essential for the health of employees and the lifespan of hardware.

What makes us different? Our winning formula is a mix of the right staff, the right anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-microbial products, and a very thorough cleaning technique. We do the job that neither the user nor the cleaner does, and in that sense are invaluable.

Clean keyboards could be key to swine flu prevention

With an estimated 65,000 people in the UK believed to be suffering from swine flu, it has become vital for organisations to take steps to protect their workforce. As well as through day to day contact with colleagues, research has shown that germs can be transmitted through a dirty work station.

The average computer keyboard carries up to 3,295 different germs, and in the midst of the current swine flu pandemic, there has never been a more important time for businesses to place more emphasis on limiting the spread of infection.

A government checklist aimed at businesses fighting against an influenza pandemic has made clear reference to the need for businesses to provide additional means of reducing infection, such as more frequent cleaning and the provision of more hand-hygiene products.

Dirty keyboards harbour harmful bacteria - as seen on GMTV

The computer keyboards and mice we use every day are loaded with germs - more than are present on the average toilet seat. Together with your desk 'phone they are the most germ-infested items in your office.

A recent study found, on average, computer keyboards hold 3,295 germs - all the viruses and bacteria that live in faeces, mucous, food particles and more.

Once you realise that's the case, it's hard to look at your computer the same way again. But unlike your toilet, you can't just pour on the thick bleach and give your office equipment a good scrubbing.
